A flexible and innovative solution, Autostore CPS comprises:

• DGPS Server Interface Module, Base Reference Station and Mobile Unit
• CPS Controller
• CPS User Interface (LCD and touch screen keyboard)
• CPS Crane Interface
• CPS Autostore Interface
• RF Radio Data Terminal

Stage 1: CPS converts crane positional signals received from the Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) into TEU bay references configured in Autostore. This automatically confirms container movements for storage areas within the reach of the container handling equipment (CHE). The CPS User Interface gives you an Autostore-generated move list generated along with real-time position indication.

Stage 2: the CPS Controller reads positional data from DGPS and spreader data from the CHE control system. This information is decoded to give a position indication on the CPS user interface. This shows the CHE operator the lateral position of the CHE - its XY co-ordinates - using references to the working zone as configured in Autostore.

Stage 3: the CPS user interface displays the move instructions generated for the CHE operator by Autostore and CPS tracks each container movement by monitoring the CHE twist-locks and position information. CPS then transmits a message to Autostore on each change of state to the twist-lock signal.
