Autostore for Prysmian's UK automated warehouse refurbishment

Autostore Warehouse Control System (WCS) from Central Systems & Automation is being supplied to Prysmian Cables & Systems as part of the refurbishment of Prysmian's UK automated warehousing operation in Aberdare, South Wales. Prysmian Cables & Systems is the UK's largest manufacturer of telecoms and energy cables for strategic power and digital information transmission.

Autostore WCS interfaces to existing control systems in a warehouse in real time, providing a uniform interface to a wide range of mechanical material handling equipment and subsystems. In addition to Autostore WCS, Prysmian has purchased the Autostore Conveyor Interface Module and Automated Crane Interface Module. Central Systems & Automation will look after all Autostore testing, configuration, implementation, training and software support.
