Central Systems & Automation wins 2012 Queen's Award for Export
Central Systems & Automation Ltd - designers of leading intermodal supply chain management software solution Autostore - today announced it has won a prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. Exceptional technology export performance over the last three years has quadrupled the company's growth in overseas earnings.
The Queen's Awards for Enterprise have honoured outstanding UK companies since their inception in 1966 and encourage the development of British business. They are awarded to businesses in three categories: International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development. The Awards are the UK's highest accolade for business success and are made each year by Her Majesty The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister and assisted by an Advisory Committee that includes representatives of government, industry, commerce and the trade unions.
Autostore is an in-house engineered software inventory management and equipment control solution for the movement and the storage of goods in warehousing and port cargo environments. Central Systems & Automation, formed in 1988, has established a full-time regional office in Dubai to service Middle Eastern export customers in partnership with Saudi Arabian and Qatari distributors. Already market leaders in the Scandinavian and Baltic regions with seven major warehousing and port customer sites, the company also has an Australian customer base via a third party partnership that has generated significant business.
