Slam dunk for Autostore WMS at LBIT Awards 2014
Autostore WMS – designed and implemented by leading supply chain integrator Central Systems & Automation Ltd – has won three industry awards at the inaugural Logistics Business IT Awards (LBITA), hosted at London’s Renaissance St. Pancras on 21 October 2014. The final results were:
- Winner: Best WMS & Inventory Management Software
- Runner-up: Best Planning & Forecasting Software
- Joint runner-up: Best Logistics IT Project
Autostore LMS gathers live raw data from Autostore WMS and generates specific, user-defined dashboard views that enable exceptional resource, workload and capacity matching. After 11 months of use across multiple multi-client sites, Great Bear recorded average productivity gains of 6.3 per cent, improvements in which Autostore LMS played a key role.
The judging panel was headed by Michael Bourlakis, Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Head of the Supply Research Centre at Cranfield University (School of Management) and Emile Naus, Technical Director of LCP Consulting - the internationally-respected logistics change management consultancy.
Andrew McKaig, CEO at Central Systems & Automation said: “We’re delighted with the recognition from Logistics Business IT and its independent judging panel: the competition was tough and the adjudication forensic. Autostore LMS was created out of an already close working partnership with Great Bear. Both Autostore LMS – and these resulting awards – clearly demonstrate that proactive technology collaboration focusing on business benefit and operational efficiency produces wider, positive effects where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts”.
