Autostore's Pick to Light/Weight (PLW) Module can be used for directed picking of product or the directed putting of product - complete with a check weight facility. Designed to help your sorting personnel pick or put stock keeping units (SKUs) to meet order requirements, PLWM uses arrangements of lights to identify product and pick/put quantities.

Overview of Pick/Put/Weigh Sequence ...

  • Autostore determines the next batch of orders to be picked at a Picking Terminal
  • Users are directed to place despatch boxes on load cells
  • Users identify the despatch boxes placed on the load cells using the handheld barcode reader attached to the Picking Terminal
  • Pick-to-Light displays quantity of stock to pick from a pick-face and user confirm the pick
  • Error correction functions allow users to correct pick errors they identify during the picking process
  • Put-to-Light displays directs users how much of the picked stock to place in a particular despatch box
  • On confirmation of a put, Autostore interrogates the weigh scales at the load cells to verify the stock distribution across the despatch boxes
